Description
Doringbaai Home Stay is situated in the unique fishing village of Doringbaai on the West Coast.
The unit comprises 2 bedrooms each with double beds in each room. There is also a bathroom with a bath, a shower and a washbasin, as well as a separate toilet.
Guests have access to a kitchen, dining and living area. The kitchen is fitted with a two plate stove and oven, gas bottle, fridge -freezer, microwave and kettle. The dining area contains a 6-seater dining table and chairs. The lounge contains couches and a flat-screen Smart TV and a sun room.
The property offers amazing views of of the flora and fauna, the lighthouse and not far from the jetty where people fish, and a delightful restaurant called Fryer's Cove where one can also do some wine tasting. There is also a great seafood restaurant called Seespens, a bottle store and pub, a fisheries shop, a general store and petrol station nearby.
You will notice the Diamond the boats bobbing about while waiting for the right sea days to come, so that they can go diving, children swimming in the harbour and fishermen launching their boats to go and get the daily catch, weather permitting of course. There are several good hiking trails that go right through to Strandfontein, mountain biking tracks and even great road cycling in the area.
Please note this is an old house that has stood the weather of time. Therefore windows might open or be stuck, but it all adds to the character of the home. The house is warm and comfortable and not far from the sea.
