Relaxing. We enjoyed every minute at the Dove Nest. The house has everything you need and we will definitely come back.

Overpriced stay with poor cleanliness and no privacy. The estate is peaceful and secure, which we appreciated. The beds were comfortable and warm, contributing to restful nights. However, the overall cleanliness of the house left much to be desired. The tiled floors had a slippery layer from excessive soap use, and several crockery and cutlery items still had food residue, suggesting they weren't properly cleaned after the previous guests. The only pot large enough for our needs was burnt beyond safe use, which is unacceptable at this price point. All the oven pans were also dirty. We found it inconvenient that there was no access to a large outside bin for garbage disposal. Privacy was a major issue. There were no curtains or blinds on the large glass doors, leaving the entire living area exposed to anyone passing by. To make matters worse, the boundary wall is so low that anyone walking by could easily see into the house and yard — even while we were trying to enjoy a braai. While the fireplace provided some warmth downstairs, there was no other heating option available. We found a half-working heater in the upstairs bedroom the day before we left. The bedside lamps couldn’t be used because there were no two-pin plug sockets. Additionally, the sofa, though seemingly comfortable at first, is worn out and doesn’t retain its shape after use. For the price, we expected a much higher standard of upkeep, comfort, and privacy. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t justify the cost.
