An amazing, beautiful home away from home experience. The place is beautiful, clean, cutlery was all present. A true value for money.

In need of complete refresh. After paying the R3000 deposit, we arrived to find so many things broken or faulty, it was a joke. Previous reviews mention blinds not working, but curtains were also coming off the rail. The pots, pans and hob were all in need of replacement a long time ago. Handles were missing on the shower door, the sliding bathroom door didn't move — I could go on, but won’t. The braai in that amazing photo is not the one you get — in fact, there were a few things that were different. We paid over the odds because of Comrades and would have been happy if we got the quality of the listing photos we were hoping for. The agency dealing with this property is also woeful. I had to chase them for two weeks to get my deposit back, and they did nothing to fix any of the items I brought to their attention on day one (new saucepans would have been an easy win). I have given the website 5* for their customer service, as they phoned me back immediately when I asked for the whereabouts of my deposit (which is done by EFT). The Wi-Fi was hit and miss as well. The positive is the town itself — lovely beach, Foam is a very good coffee spot, and the local Spar has everything you need (we walked there).

'n Ruim wooneenheid met 'n pragtige see uitsig op 'n groot stoep. Ons was 'n groep vriende wat na Midmar 'n paar dae in Durban wou ontspan. Die wooneenheid was groot genoeg vir 6 mense. Ten volledig toegeruste kombuis en braaigeriewe op 'n ruim stoep wat 'n 180 grade see uitsig het. Pragtige sonopkoms vanaf die stoep. Die leefarea het lugreëling wat welkom was in die hitte. Loopafstand van 'n see- en swemarea en naby restaurante en winkels.

Beautiful views of the ocean. The upside: The host was very responsive and explained everything well. The price was reasonable. Comfortable beds. Walking distance to the beach and restaurants/bars. Great sea views from the large balcony. Self-check-in. The downside: The blinds in one bedroom did not close. The en-suite bathroom has a tub with a hand shower and no shower screen so the water got out of the tub. The lift in this complex is very slow, we opted for the stairs most of the time which makes it difficult to carry luggage to and from the unit (there are quite a few stairs from the parking to the unit).
