Beautiful nature, peaceful and with a fireplace. Franshoek is a beautiful farm, very nice braai area and accommodation. Unfortunately the rain washed away almost all the hiking trail signs and we couldn't hike. The road is also in bad condition, the farmers might have to scrape the road a bit, otherwise only 4x4 cars will be able to get there. Our Ford Ranger worked well, after the rain this weekend the road was just in even worse condition and we don't think normal cars will be able to drive there.

Absolutely wonderful to be out in the country with such a magnificent view. Really beautiful setting. Accommodation was great. Kitchen well equipped. Bedrooms and bathrooms enormous. Water pressure in the shower was problematic - particularly in bedroom 1. Felt that there was a general lack of cleanliness - particularly in the living area - maybe just a case of checking after cleaning has been done? Lovely walks to go on.
