Hakuna Matata Boutique Game Farm is a working farm situated about 10 km northwest of Great Brak River in the Western Cape. It offers the best of both worlds — waking up to serene views and the sounds of nature, yet only a 20-minute drive from the bustling beach holiday atmosphere of Hartenbos and Mossel Bay. Three cosy cottages overlook the dam where wildlife often roam. Each cottage sleeps 4–6 persons, with a total capacity of 14. The cottages are spaced to ensure privacy.
The luxury couples’ cottage has one bedroom with a queen bed and a double sleeper couch in the lounge for the kids. The en-suite bathroom has a shower and is exclusive to this cottage. This unit features an open-plan lounge and kitchen fully equipped with a gas stove, microwave, fridge, air fryer, dishwasher, and all you need for a comfortable stay. It also has an indoor fireplace for cosy winter nights.
Smoking is allowed outside on the patio and at the braai/BBQ area. Exclusive, with limited to no cellphone reception and no TV, encouraging a holistic rest. Free Wi-Fi is available.
Guests are welcome to walk on the farm in designated areas, and cycling routes extend from the farm to surrounding areas. For birdwatchers, there is a variety of birds such as the Knysna Loerie, Fish Eagle, and numerous water birds. The farm is home to disease-free buffalo and a variety of antelope.
