Handvol Gruis Gastehuis is a newly renovated farmhouse located a mere 44 km outside the town of Calvinia. It is the ideal location to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday living.

The house comprises 4 bedrooms and 1 bathroom plus a guest toilet.There are 2 bedrooms with each a king-size beds and 1 bedroom with a double bed as well as a bedroom with 2 single beds. The bathroom has been recently redone and has a large bath and a corner shower. There is also a separate toilet with its own basin.

The house has 2 lounge areas of which one has a fireplace. There is an indoor braai in the kitchen as well as a braai on the stoep. The kitchen is fully equipped with self-catering facilities as well as a working 4-plate AGA stove.

The house has a large lawn and it is surrounded by a poplar grove that brings coolness and greenery. Guests can enjoy leisure facilities on the farm that includes swimming facilities, routes for walking and cycling and the farm has the only road to the top of the Hantamberge. The farm will be a delight for nature lovers, birdwatchers, and plant connoisseurs.

Fresh farm bread, roast cakes, meat packs with genuine Hantam lamb as well as wood and ice cream are sold at the farm.
