Great experience, just add a braai. For a new property, this was definitely worth the experience. The host was great with her coffee shop adjacent to the unit. The highlight was the hot water tub, already lit by the time we got there. The street noise on the first night was a little disappointing, but better on the second night.

Great potential with a few changes and attention to detail, beautiful coffee shop. Friendly and accommodating. No knife and fork to eat my dinner heated in the microwave, no plate, no glass for water. Bed linen upside down with closing section up near my face. Attention to detail. Water in the shower didn't get hot enough. Hot tub advertised, no wood or fire lighters should I want to enjoy that option. Single-ply toilet paper that disintegrates is not acceptable at R850 a night. Additional locks to be fitted on doors, room not in residential area. Felt very isolated.

Hello Di V Upon your departure you were asked if all was well and in place, to which you replied that all was well. 1) 2x knives, 2x steak knives, 2x small plates and 2x forks are in the drawer under the microwave. Coffee mugs, milk, and bottled water are in the fridge as well. Nespresso machine, plunger coffee, instant coffee and tea with sugar are in the room. 2) Please note that I do not advertise as a "self-catering". 3) The gas geyser takes time to heat, but I will look into it. 4) A hot tub option for use was given to the guest. She indicated that she did not want to use it. She only arrived about 19:00 (our check-in time is 18:00) at our address. 5) The hot tub takes 4 to 6 hours to heat. Wood is supplied in the wooden box outside the tub, along with fire lighters and a lighter. (Of course, I can supply pictures.) 6) We are in a residential/business area. Please refer to a local Google map. Journey Guesthouse is across the street from us, and Meurant Guesthouse is just down the road. Up the road is the Royal Hotel. At the back are long-term rental flats. 7) All doors are fitted with locks and an alarm system is in place. An outside beam is also installed and was offered to the guest, who in turn refused. Sorry about your bad experience, and I felt you needed to post this without discussing it with me in private (since most of it is not true). That would have been appreciated. - Of course, I will send pictures of all the above-mentioned facts if needed - Thanks for the tips that will improve my property. Regards, Janet Muller
