Tranquility surrounded by nature. Very pleasant. The rooms were all so spacious. The view from the living areas onto the canal was the best part of the house. The indoor braai was also very useful.

A beautiful, affordable home on the canals. We absolutely loved our stay at House on the Canal! It was fabulous for our getaway with friends. Right on the canals, with a lovely sociable, open-plan dining room - braai area & bar - kitchen - lounge - garden, it suited our needs perfectly. The rooms were cosy; the beds and linen comfy; the bathrooms nice and clean (one loo with a gorgeous view!) and the kitchen was well-appointed. The owners were extremely helpful and fully available. We'd love to return for another visit sometime.

We usually ask Nomzano to be there on your arrival day as being thatched it can get dusty quite quickly if the weather is windy and we feel she can assist guests if needed to carry bags etc upstairs. The lounge couches were actually recently reupholstered but the one couch was faulty on the seam so we have to return it- I should have let you know apologies. We do only provide initial loo paper in every bathroom and one additional spare- I will check that spare (and extra hand sanitizer) is accessible as may have been kept in cupboard.
