Description

Vogelsang Farm Cottage is located on the farm Vogelsang in Schoemanshoek in the heart of the Kango Valley. Vogelsang is also home to Karusa Wines and Restaurant.

The cottage offers spectacular mountain and landscape views between the vineyards and orchards. It is ideal for a simple, peaceful getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. The cottage has a minimum power supply which is mainly for the lights but candles are supplied.

The cottage has an open-plan layout that comprises a sleeping area, a kitchen, and an en-suite bathroom. The sleeping area is furnished with a queen-size bed and the bathroom is fitted with a gas geyser, a shower, a basin, and a toilet.

The kitchen is equipped with 2-plate gas stove, freezer-fridge, cutlery, crockery, and other essential necessities. There is also an indoor braai, dining area, and lounge with comfortable seating. The patio features outdoor furniture as well as a portable braai and leads to the lawn that extends up to the muscadelle vineyard, ideal for stargazing on summer evenings.

Activities on the farm include a 6 km hiking trail through the vineyards, and a 26 km gravel road bike trail on the back roads of Schoemanshoek.
