Description

Klipspringer Berghuisie is a self-catering mountain cottage situated 14.3 km from McGregor and 187 km from Cape Town. Although there is no longer a 4x4 trail, please note the road to the cottage is only accessible with a 4x4 vehicle with good ground clearance and low range. It is a rocky mountain road to the cottage.

The cottage accommodates 2 guests in total. The open-plan loft is equipped with 1 queen-sized bed and a bathroom with a shower downstairs. The devices work with gas and the lights are solar-powered. The kitchen is equipped with a 52-litre camp fridge and a 2-plate gas burner stove, and the indoor braai facility in the cosy lounge provides the ideal place to relax.

The more adventurous can bring their mountain bikes or enjoy some hiking to explore the 1000-hectare farm. Keen botanists can lose themselves in the lush fynbos and proteas. Don’t be surprised if you find klipsringer, duiker and grysbok scuttling in the fynbos. The cliffs and gorges also provide excellent shelter and breeding grounds for the black eagle. Klipspringer Berghuisie can only be reached by a 4x4 vehicle.
