Description

Konka Guest Farm offers guests comfortable overnight accommodation on an off-the-grid working sheep farm 29 km outside the town of Carnarvon. The farm is surrounded by the beautiful Karoo hills and offers a tranquil retreat for nature enthusiasts.

This picturesque farm is powered by solar energy and offers accommodation in a choice of 3 units that can be booked individually or as a whole to accommodate larger groups. The main house sleeps 7 guests and comprises 3 en-suite bedrooms. Antoinette's Cottage is an open-plan unit accommodating 2 guests and comprises a sleeping area, en-suite bathroom with a separate toilet and a small kitchenette with seating. Korbeel Cottage accommodates 2 guests and comprises one bedroom with an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower and a small kitchenette with seating.

Each unit has a kitchenette equipped to meet guests' basic self-catering needs, a private braai area, and some units also offer a fireplace for cold winter nights. Hot water is provided by a gas geyser.

The property is operated by solar energy only and is not suitable for electric appliances such as hair styling equipment, kettles, or electric irons, and Wi-Fi is available.

The farm boasts a farm dam where guests can relax while other activities include hiking, cycling, and wildlife viewing.

Guests are implored to be mindful of the livestock on the farm and not to distress them in any way during their stay. Please note that there are 2 resident cats on the farm.
