Description

Kweekkraal Guest Farm is situated 8.2km west of Riversdal right at the gateway to the Garden Route on the Southern Coast of Africa.
The farm forms part of a conservation area. The main house is of historic significance and was built in 1880.

This is a working farm, sheep and cattle are grazed on cultivated Oats and Lucerne pastures. Other grain crops produced are Canola, Wheat and Barley.
Our accommodation consists of nine units which have recently been lovingly renovated and equipped by the farm owners, Pieter and Sandra van Wyk.
Five twobedroomed cottages overlook a farm dam with a backdrop of Eucalyptus trees and grain fields. They each have a bedroom with a double bed, another bedroom with two single beds, bathroom with shower, fully equipped kitchen, lounge/dining area and a patio with a barbeque facility.

Three onebedroom cottages are situated around the swimming pool and barbeque area.
One cottage has a double bed and two have two single beds. They all have fully equipped kitchens and an en-suite bathroom with a shower (no baths).

There is also a rustic stone cottage bound to lift your spirit and revive your senses. Lights are powered by solar, hot water by gas and cooking by gas or fire, Up to eight guests can sleep in this unit. Two bedrooms each have a double bed and two single beds, (bunk beds). One bathroom with shower (no bath)to be shared. A fully equipped open plan lounge/kitchen area with a huge indoor barbeque/fireplace. A wooden deck provides a fine view of the dam and surrounding indigenous bush which abounds with bustling bird life. No aircondition, TV or fridge.

For your convenience we offer braai packs (home grown quality meat), sandwiches for the coals, fresh salads (Greek, Italian, other types on request), wood and soft drinks.

Conferencing is offered at our conference centre for about 95 delegates.

Activities include:

* Hiking trails
* Bird watching
* Swimming/tanning/relaxing around the swimming pool
* Fishing – catch and release (bass)

Kweekkraal is conveniently situated in the midst of very beautiful surroundings and is ideal for families and corporate travellers who are bound to appreciate the safe, affordable yet comfortable farm stay at the foot of the Langeberg Mountains.
