L’Chiam Cottage is a charming 3-bedroom home with a separate honeymoon suite, located in the secure Bergview Estate in Champagne Valley, Drakensberg.
Nestled at the foot of the mountains, the main house can accommodate up to 6 guests. The main bedroom has a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom is furnished with 2 single beds that can be converted into a king-size bed on request, while the third bedroom has 2 single beds. These 2 rooms share a bathroom with a bath and a shower. The separate flat is perfect for 2 guests and features a double bed and a bathroom fitted with a shower.
The main house and flat are connected by a covered entertainment area with built-in braai facilities, making it ideal for social evenings. The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, microwave, stove, oven, and dishwasher. The cosy living room has a fireplace and a TV with selected DStv channels, while a portable braai is also available for use in the garden.
Bergview Eco Estate offers a number of hiking trails into the Drakensberg foothills, and guests can also explore additional trails through nearby hotels and the Monks Cowl National Park. Champagne Valley is well-known for its adventure activities such as horse riding, abseiling, and treetop tours — making this cottage the perfect base for families, couples, and friends wanting to experience the beauty of the Drakensberg.
