Loch Maree Guest Farm is situated approximately 200 km north of Upington and 95 km from Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park and is a welcome stop for overnight travellers who wish to explore the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park.

Loch Maree offers a fully equipped Field Camp with camping facilities and you can relax and enjoy friendly Kalahari hospitality with your hosts, Lothar & Nandre. You can take in the scenery and wildlife on a self-drive game drive, or you can enjoy your sundowners at the lookout point and fall in love with the magnificent panoramic view of the red Kalahari dunes and contrasting white salt pan. Our camps are unfenced, so you are truly at one with nature with the veld right on your doorstep.

While it is nearly 100 km further north of Loch Maree, it is well worth visiting the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. This Transfrontier Park is made up of 2 wildlife conservation areas: the Kalahari Gemsbok National Park in South Africa, and the Gemsbok National Park in Botswana. The Park, with an area of 38,000 km², consists of abundant wildlife, with plenty of scope for viewing the migratory herds of blue wildebeest, springbok, eland and red hartebeest.
