We enjoyed our stay and the cottage catered to all our needs. It was wonderful. The views from the cottage were breathtaking and we will definitely come back again.

Both the homeliness and location exceeded our expectations. You know how some families have a holiday spot they return to again and again? Loeries Cottage will be that for us; the happy place we come to again and again.

Priceless beauty and peaceful home for a relaxing break. Our stay at Loerie Cottage was once again absolutely amazing. The 3 bedroom family home has all you need for a comfortable stay, including a gas stove oven, fridge freezer, microwave, toaster, bath & shower, and washing machine. The house was lovely and clean with bedding & towels provided, as well as some basic kitchen spices and detergents and enough kitchenware for all our requirements. The view is priceless! With the most amazing sunset view towards Gericke's Point! Hearing the fish splashing (spawning) with the incoming tides in the lagoon makes for some entertaining memories too! The bird life at the house is absolutely amazing (see list below), especially the Drongos coming for their daily cheese snacks by hand feeding! Putting out cheese, seeds, bread, and fruit, we were spoilt with a wide variety of birds, cute mice, and bats in the evening & a fruit bat late at night! We were even blessed with a couple of Loeries spotted in the shrubs and tree at the house. Having the opportunity to stay here at Loerie Cottage has truly been a wonderful peaceful break, and we thank Bridgette and her family from the bottom of our hearts for sharing this blessing. On the property: Cape Weaver, Greater Double-Collared Sunbird, Forktail Drongo, Knysna Loerie, Cape Bulbul, Cape Wagtail, Red-Eyed Dove, Speckled Mousebird, Cape Robin-Chat, Cape White-Eye, Helmeted Guineafowl, Olive Thrush, Fiscal Flycatcher, Sombre Greenbul, Cape Batis, Common Starling, Streaky-Headed Seedeater, Olive Woodpecker, Chorister Robin-Chat, Bar-Throated Apalis, Southern Boubou, Burchell's Coucal, Laughing Dove, Southern Grey-Headed Sparrow, Terrestrial Brownbul, Collared Sunbird. (Technically the Black Sawwing because it flies over really closely to the house at frequent timings). At the lake or flying over the lake: Kelp Gull, Egyptian Goose, Reed Cormorant, African Oystercatcher, Great Cormorant, African Darter, Little Grebe, Little Egret, Grey Heron, Giant Kingfisher, Grey-Headed Gull, Water Thick-Knee.

6 days of enjoyment. Peaceful and relaxing.

An enjoyable stay. The house was very nice and spacious. It was very nice to sit on the stoep and watch the birds and lagoon. Patrick was a very attentive host and professional. The only drawback for us was no private bathroom. We were four adults. The add-on toilet/shower was not working for us.

Fantastic, the house is well equipped and the view is incredible. Didn't want to leave!
