Description

Lord Canarvon Guest House offers modern accommodation in a beautiful Karoo house, built in 1886 by Frans Carel Te Water. The house has been restored to its former glory, evoking memories of a bygone era of Karoo grandeur.

The guesthouse provides twenty one air-conditioned rooms featuring satellite TV and lounges with cosy fireplaces. Some of the rooms are separate flats, some originally built as communion rooms and stables for use by local farmers, decades ago, on their traditional monthly visit to town. There are limited self-catering facilities are available and traditional Karoo meals are served on request.

Guest can relax in the communal lounge with a warm fireplace for the cold winter nights. Enjoy a selection of traditional Karoo meals on request at the guest house or at one of the local restaurants. There are braai facilities on-site, as well as secure parking.

Money can't buy the years and memories that matured into the houses that form part of Lord Carnarvon Guesthouse. It has been carefully restored by owner Pieter Hoffman to its former glory. With a mixture of modern facilities and antiques, the character evokes memories of a bygone era of Karoo grandeur.
