Expensive cottage on working farm. The cottage was comfortable, spotlessly clean and host Etienne was very responsive and attentive. An electric blanket and air fryer are listed but not present. The kitchen is equipped with basic items including gas stove plates, electric oven, microwave oven and a small fridge with a small freezer compartment. Water is potable. No towels for the hot tub - bring your own. The hot tub takes 5-6 hours and 6 bags of wood to heat in winter. The tub pump is ineffective and steam popping into the metal tub echoes extremely loud - be sure to bring ear plugs. The cottage and tub are not private and are in full view of passers-by - situated on the main public road that accesses a public dam and other cottages. Builders stayed in a shack across the bedroom sliding door and lounge doors which have no curtains for privacy. A good hairdryer is supplied but no round two-pin plug that fits the hairdryer - bring your own. If you don't mind passers-by and workers watching you, this is a cosy and comfortable cottage.

Thank you for your review. Allow me to comment to clarify some points. If the hottub is stoked with enough wood over a 2-3 hour period with the pump running, the water will heat sufficiently. I personally never had any noises with the pump running. The rooms do have curtains and we will look to put blinds in the lounge area for more privacy. My apologies if I did not mention the contract workers building the new cottage, temporarily staying in the barn across the road, and that they will be moving up and down while working. We have removed the old electric blankets and are waiting for new replacement stock. Should be sorted soon. I will look into the air fryer and why it wasn't in the cottage. We are in the process of deproclimating the road, but the process takes time. We do, however, limit entry to the dam through a security gate at the farm entrance. Although there are three bath towels in each room, we will look to add additional towels for the tub. We will also change the round plug of the hairdryer to a normal plug for ease of use.
