Makakatana Lodge is a true gem. We had a wonderful stay at Makakatana Lodge. What truly blew us away was the warm, personal service and the many thoughtful little extras that made us feel welcome and at home. The tours were a highlight — respectful to animals and nature, with no rushed walkie-talkie chatter or aggressive tracking just to get the perfect photo. Everything was done with care and consideration. The rooms and shared spaces were spotless and beautifully decorated, creating a sense of relaxed luxury in the heart of the wild. If you’re looking for a hidden gem that offers both comfort and a deep respect for nature, we can highly recommend Makakatana Lodge.
