Malmane Eye Private Nature Retreat is an exclusive self-catering escape, tucked away between Lichtenburg and Ottoshoop. Perfect for families or groups of friends, the retreat only accepts one booking at a time, ensuring complete privacy and tranquillity. When you book, the entire facility is exclusively yours!
Accommodation
The retreat sleeps 12 to 14 guests across a variety of unique units:
Moonstone Chalet: Features a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a freestanding bath and shower overlooking the willow trees and water. Amenities include a TV, fan, heater, electric blanket, and coffee station.
Diamond Luxury Lodge Tent: Opens with a glass sliding door and offers a king-size bed plus 2 single beds with views of the dam. Equipped with a fan, wall-to-wall carpet with underfloor heating, and coffee facilities. The tent has a camp-style toilet and basin, with access to a full bathroom in the lapa.
Sapphire & Emerald Luxury Lodge Tents: Each opens with glass sliding doors and is furnished with a queen-size bed and a single bed. Both have electric blankets, fans, and coffee stations.
Amethyst Dome Tent: Furnished with 2 single beds.
Shared Facilities: Sapphire, Emerald, and Amethyst tents share a luxury outdoor bathroom located about 10 steps away.
Garnet Loft Room: Located inside the lapa, furnished with a double bed, and shares the lapa bathroom.
Additional Sleeping: Queen-size sleeper couch available in the lapa.
The Central Lapa
The heart of the retreat overlooks the water and offers:
Outdoor tables with seating for 15 guests
A fully equipped kitchen with a fridge-freezer, microwave, gas and electric stoves, oven, air fryer, and ice machine
A lounge with Smart TV (Free MyFamilyCinema, Netflix, YouTube; DStv/Showmax available with your own login details)
A bar area with seating for 10
Indoor and outdoor braai facilities, potjie pots, grid, and an optional pizza oven
A jacuzzi on the deck with water views
Free Wi-Fi, with inverter backup during loadshedding
Activities & Nature
Guests can enjoy swimming, canoeing, rowing, relaxing in the jacuzzi, fishing, cycling (own equipment), hiking, and stargazing. On-site entertainment includes board games, table tennis, darts, a trampoline, hammock, and badminton. With over 75 bird species, tame nyalas, lush trees, and green lawns, this retreat is a true paradise for nature lovers.
