Mankele offers self-catering accommodation and camping for the whole family to enjoy, in the heart of Mpumalanga, South Africa. Mankele is beautifully located in an indigenous forest near the Sudwala Caves and alongside the Houtbosloop River. The mixed terrain of sub-tropical forest, open grasslands, mountains, valleys, and river frontage offers the perfect location for a wide variety of trails, with awesome scenery of luscious mountains, rivers, and springs that are home to a wealth of bird and animal life.
Self-catering accommodation is offered in Log Cabins, and canvas Safari Tents. If you are more adventurous, why not try our camping facilities.
Each self-catering Log Cabin sleeps 8 people. There is also a dining room, lounge, a bathroom and a guest toilet, and a fully equipped kitchen in each. The setting is ideal for sundowners on the deck. If that hasn’t cooled you down, the sparkling pools and entertainment areas will do the trick.
Each canvas Safari Tent is carefully placed in its beautiful bush setting and sleeps up to 5 guests. Each tent features a fridge, kettle, basic cutlery, braai, a deck with table and chairs, and private ablution facilities.
The camping area is surrounded by picturesque indigenous vegetation and is next to the Houtbosloop river. There are ocean communal ablutions with showers. The setting is ideal for those that want to be part of nature after a long hot adventurous day.
Mankele has a communal entertainment area with a well stocked café offering assorted light snack meals , sweets and cooldrinks as well as 2 swimming pools.
