Serene, cozy, magical. We had an amazing stay at Masinga and really enjoyed the next level glamping experience. Perfect for a serene couples getaway in nature. Would love to stay in summer, but the rainy weather was equally really lovely and cozy - fireplace, electric blanket and heaters kept us nice and warm while we read, played games and watched movies. Thanks for being great hosts and letting us stay a little longer on the checkout day.

Terrible and won't go back. It was raining and there were no tables and chairs to eat our dinner. We also didn't realise that we were going to be situated in someone's backyard and that it felt not private. You get wet if you go to the toilet. The bath is outside but also doesn't feel private because you can see the house next door. We chose Masinga because of the brilliant reviews. Our experience wasn't pleasant and felt like a complete waste of money. We checked out on the 2nd day. There was also no clean-up service.

While we understand that the weather impacted your stay, this is unfortunately beyond our control. We do our best to ensure that guests enjoy their time with us, rain or shine. We always strive to communicate with our guests openly and sincerely. A voice message was sent expressing our apologies that the experience was not as expected. We appreciate that travel preferences vary, and some aspects may come down to personal taste. With regard to the facilities, the unit is equipped with an indoor table and four chairs for guests' use, as indicated in our listing. The property description clearly states that Masinga is located on a private residential plot in the suburb of Gillitts. It is not a standalone remote destination but rather a unique experience within a suburban setting, as detailed in the description and shown in the location pin. This setting is reflected transparently in our content. Masinga is promoted as a unique and rustic experience. The outdoor bath is a key feature of the stay and is visible in the listing photos. It is part of the charm that appeals to many of our guests seeking a close-to-nature atmosphere. The outdoor area is surrounded by a tall privacy screen, and while there are homes across the valley, they are located at a significant distance and do not pose a privacy concern. We do acknowledge the oversight regarding the cleaning service. That said, we also prioritise guest privacy and therefore do not send staff to the unit unless requested. We value constructive feedback and continue to make improvements to offer guests an experience that is both comfortable and true to its unique setting.

Amazing. 10/10 Everything was so perfect. My partner and I enjoyed our stay at Masinga, it was so peaceful. Let me not even get to the food (so delicious), it was our perfect weekend.

Excellent stay. Peaceful, private and quaint. Masinga is simply magical! It provided the most peaceful, quiet and private getaway. Everything was simply perfect and the add-on breakfast was phenomenal. Highly recommended! The kitchenette has a little spaza shop that works on an honesty-box system. Loved the cold drinks in old-school glass bottles and you can also buy extra wood and snacks.
