Description

Mkomazana Mountain Cottages is situated within a trans-frontier peace park at the foot of the Sani Pass. Nestled in the beautiful Sani Valley, the lodge is a nature lover’s paradise and possibly the Southern Drakensberg’s best-kept secret.

The lodge offers a choice of 5 units to choose from. Each unit/house has a fully equipped kitchen with a stove, microwave, fridge, toaster, kettle, crockery, cutlery, bedding, towels and is serviced daily. Braai facilities are provided and firewood is available for sale.

Guests can expect a variety of flora and fauna like otter, baboon, reedbuck, and eland, along with a wide variety of birds such as black eagle, bearded vulture, and fish eagle. There’s history to be found in nearby bushman paintings, and plenty of natural beauty to be discovered with several waterfalls, crystal clear 'berg rivers, pools, and dams in the area.

The lodge is perfectly situated for a range of outdoor activities. Spend your days hiking the Drakensberg, trout fishing, at an additional fee, swimming in crystal clear mountain pools, mountain biking, and bird watching. All of these activities can be undertaken from the property.
