Quiet getaway. Very peaceful, neat stay. Would really like a small fridge in the room just for water or soft drinks. Curtains are not effective in keeping out light at night. Patio is nice and it was very nice to hear birds in the morning. Also watched monkeys.

Heartwarming. My stay at Makoya was phenomenal. Staff members, Karabo and Yusuf, made it extra special. They were always willing to listen to our needs and went the extra mile in suggesting some of the activities we participate in. The meals prepped by the restaurant were also great. While there is no TV, if you're looking for some down time, this is definitely the place to go to. The place is good for long stays too. My 10 year-old daughter enjoyed some time off with her mother and was never bored. Will definitely be going back there again. Kudos to you Raymond and your family for a lovely and warm place.

Lovely, peaceful atmosphere. A wonderful quiet place between the mountains where you can just break away, relax in nature for a weekend. Nice but could be better. Swimming pool loungers broken and uncomfortable and dirty. We kept being told we cannot have ice as they have run out. This was frustrating. and drinks from fridges were warm. No sweetener and myself and my son can only drink sweetener and not sugar. The menu for dinner consists of the same 4 meals for all 3 nights we were there. No verity. It was tasty but we needed to go to a different establishment to have something else to eat. No kids meals at all available. They needed to order from the main menu and the meals are not something kids really eat. Safety is a concern as anyone can enter very easily. It made me feel uneasy the whole stay. I am very safety conscious. Joseph and Washington were very friendly and tried their best to make us happy. They are amazing guys.
