Nestled in the mist belt of the Upper Drakensberg, just 35 km from Newcastle (KZN) and 30 km from Memel (Free State), it offers a true retreat into nature. Guests can enjoy self-catering accommodation, camping, or day visits, with opportunities to explore hiking trails, swim in natural rock pools, enjoy a picnic or barbecue with scenic views, or experience the thrill of abseiling.

Accommodation options include The Tin House, Stables, Acorn Cottage, and Tasset, each offering comfort while keeping you close to nature. Whether you’re seeking a peaceful getaway or an adventurous retreat, Moorfield is a paradise of biodiversity, with dramatic forests, hills, gorges, and rivers to explore.

The Oakleaf Building provides a shared gathering and cooking space for campers and day visitors, complete with an indoor and outdoor braai, a covered stoep, a kitchen, and ablution facilities. For larger events, Burnham Hall will soon be available as a venue for up to 60 people.
