Hideaway on top of the world. This off-the-grid cabin is a true gem for those seeking solitude and a deep connection with nature. Perched on the edge of a cliff on the Nardouw farm in the north-western Cederberg, the cabin offers breathtaking, endless views that will leave you in awe. The unique setting, nestled between massive boulders, creates a sense of tranquility and energy. The cabin's eco-friendly features, including a private eco toilet and outdoor shower seamlessly integrated into the rock, add to its charm. The outdoor shower can get chilly in autumn, so I do recommend showering before sunset when it is warmer. The cabin is thoughtfully equipped with everything you need, including a comfortable king-sized bed. It's powered by 12-volt electricity, so you will not be able to plug in anything of your own; however, the owner thoughtfully caters with a camp fridge, rechargeable torches and two USB charging points. Consider taking along a fully charged power pack as a backup. What truly sets this cabin apart is its remote location, which demands a digital detox and rewards you with unparalleled peace and connection to nature. To fully immerse yourself in this experience, I recommend staying for at least two nights. The energy of the boulders, the views, and the sense of seclusion make this a truly unique and rejuvenating getaway.
