Beautiful, peaceful, quiet. Absolutely amazing! Stunning view, lovely people and such a beautiful place to spend the weekend away. We hiked, camped and enjoyed a 4x4 trail. Quiet countryside retreat – safe trails, pet-friendly, annual getaway spot. Our stay was absolutely tranquil and peaceful – the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. It was wonderfully quiet (besides the occasional donkey, which just added some charm). My husband and I were looking to disconnect from signal and devices, and this spot was ideal. We brought our dogs along and had the best time hiking through the farm. The trails were well marked, safe, and made exploring the area a pleasure. Lovely scenery, great place to get away from the hustle and bustle. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely return. We were greeted by the horses every morning and the views from the units are stunning. The dogs accompanied us on the hike and were the best guides. The only thing to remember is that the last 3 km to the farm is for high clearance vehicles. Sedans will struggle a bit with the terrain. As the farm is on the border with Lesotho, there are signal issues with SA networks and WiFi access can be purchased from reception. The unit is clean and has everything that you need to have a great stay. We enjoyed the fireplace on the cold evenings. The owners are friendly and very helpful.

Amazing view, well equipped cottage. Excellent stay! Amazing location in the Maluti range. Far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Clarens but close enough for a day trip. The owner was really helpful in assisting us with all our queries. The hiking trails are excellent and we really enjoyed it a lot. Our dogs enjoyed the stay more than we did!

Soul food in beautiful surroundings, although the accommodation needs a bit of upgrading. The location of Old Mill Drift is unbeatable - the view of the mountains, the fresh air, the beautiful surroundings left us refreshed. We were warmly welcomed and felt very safe on the farm. The cottage (Spring) where we stayed has everything we need, although it needs a bit of an upgrade. The beds need new mattresses, for example, and the cottage itself could do with some maintenance. The floors are in a state of repair, and the bathroom is also very basic. The dirt road to the farm was a challenge for us city people without a 4x4, but we survived it! Camping facilities on the rustic side. Excellent hiking trails! We had issues with the hot water supply at the camping ablutions, but the owners were helpful with coming up with solutions. The hiking trails were amazing and I would love to do more of them! Dogs are allowed off leash everywhere. Take note that you will encounter horses, geese, and friendly farm dogs.
