Description

Old Sam's Cottage is situated in a wild camp, only 9.5 km from Bredasdorp, the creative and culinary heart of the Overberg. Peace and quiet are woven into each other at Old Sam's Cottage. The cottage is 41 km from De Hoop Nature Reserve.

The cottage can accommodate 2 guests and has 1 bedroom with a double bed and luxurious bed linen, and a gas heater for cold winter nights. The en-suite bathroom is fitted with a shower, toilet and basin. The living area and kitchen are open-plan. The kitchen is well-equipped with a fridge-freezer, 2 gas rings, and cutlery and crockery. The living area opens to a covered stoep with seating, a picnic table, and a built-in braai. The stoep is the perfect place to enjoy the beautiful sunsets of Renosterfontein farm.

This cottage takes you back in time, as there is no electricity and hot water is supplied by a gas geyser. The ambience of the cottage is enhanced by lanterns and rechargeable lights. Free Wi-Fi is available.

The farm has a circular cycling route of 15 km. The nearby Karsriver has beautiful fishing spots and there is a wide variety of bird life that is any bird watcher's dream. The wild camp has eland, springbok and zebras. Guests are welcome to canoe with the cottage's canoe on the Karsriver. Hikers will enjoy hiking in the duineveld.
