Description

Olive House on Mooigedacht Farm, is a delightful, secluded residence nestled in the hamlet of Nooitgedacht. It provides guests with spacious and comfortable self-catering accommodation powered by an 11-kilowatt solar system. The surrounding vegetation ranges from fynbos to the valley bushveld characteristic of the Baviaans.

The house consists of 4 rooms and 2 shared bathrooms with gas geysers, which can comfortably accommodate up to 9 guests. The bedrooms are each furnished with 2 single beds that can be made as single beds or King or Queen size beds while the living area includes 1 additional single bed. The inside bathroom is fitted with a bath, shower, toilet, and washbasin while the outside bathroom has a shower, basin, and toilet.

The kitchen is well-equipped with a fridge, freezer, microwave, oven, gas stove, washing machine, cutlery, crockery, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. The living area includes a built-in braai, ample seating, and a dining table, opening onto a verandah with outdoor seating, braai facilities, and a splash pool.

The verandah offers a splash pool with a boiler that can double up as a hot tub, a table and chairs for outside dining as well as comfortable chairs for relaxing overlooking a lawn sloping down to the river, where farm animals graze on green paddocks. The valley's opposite side features ascending mountains and cliffs. Guests can enjoy swimming, hiking, cycling, and birdwatching and picnic spots on the premises. Limited Wi-Fi and secure parking are available to guests during their stay.
