Private, special, awesome. We had a lovely stay and didn't want to leave! The donkeys, the nature, and the privacy made it unforgettable.

Plekkie waar jou binneste kan rus! Wat 'n ongelooflike ondervinding! Die rustigheid kan mens nie regtig in woorde vasvang nie. Met die aankoms het die twee pragtige donkies ons verwelkom en mens kan nie help om hulle net te wil soen nie! Die huis gee jou die perfekte gevoel van plaas, soos in die ou dae. Mens vergeet van die mal gejaag van die 'regte lewe' daar buite. Die stilte en die gesing van die voël, net wow! Die warmwaterbad onder die boom was 'n hoogtepunt. Ek kan nie wag om weer te gaan nie.

Amazing. Checked the reviews first and they were not wrong. Stunning location and super peaceful! The braai place in the trees, the hot tub, the fireplace, ticked all the boxes. The best thing is that you can tell the owners have put in thought about what would make the stay super comfy. A knife sharpening stone. Simple! But the first time I've seen it at a holiday spot. I'd recommend this spot as a getaway any day. Big thanks to the owners.

Memorable. The house and environment are charming, quiet and peaceful. The animals, and especially the friendly donkeys, are a highlight. We felt relaxed and restored after 3 nights on the farm.

Onvergeetlik. Dit was so 'n lekker ervaring op die plaas, lekker rustig met 2 donkies wat jou geselskap hou. Ons was 'n groep vriendinne en sal dit vir enige iemand aanbeveel.

Ons het heerlik gekuier en ontspan en was jammer dat die naweek so vinnig verbygevlieg het. Sal beslis weer daar wil kuier. En nie eens te praat van die donkies nie. Hulle was 'n welkom verrassing elke dag. Die tweetjies is super oulik en so vriendelik. Wou hulle net saamvat huis toe.

A lovely picturesque farm getaway with all modern conveniences. In spite of arriving and departing in rain, our 2-day stay at The Little Farmhouse was most delightful. The spacious cottage has been perfectly renovated and is well appointed, with comfortable beds and warm bedding. Our hosts had even provided hot water bottles, and there was a gift of firewood to keep out the winter chill. One thing I missed was a pair of kitchen scissors! Very picturesque woods, a little waterfall, and a stream close by, with cows, sheep, and lambs on the farm track - we would love to return in summer!

A good choice for a summer family getaway. I think that The Little Farmhouse is suitable for families with children. It is very rustic and laid back with a lovely wooded area in front with an outside hot tub, cold shower and braai area. The weather was very cold when we were there and due to the fact that it is situated amongst many trees, the actual house is freezing. As such, it is much better suited to a summer stay than a winter stay. We didn't make use of the farm itself as we spent time hiking etc off the farm. For us, it was a little too rustic, but I am sure it would suit many people. The showers were lovely and hot, the bed was comfortable. Drinking water was supplied separately.

Magical. We stayed at Overberg Gems - The Little Farmhouse for a silent retreat. It was peaceful and beautiful. But we were there for the flooding! Kevin - the farmer couldn't have been kinder - checked in on us to see if we were okay, brought extra wood when the electricity went down, let us stay an extra night for free when we got stuck there due to road closures in the storm. They also gave us a bowl of fresh farm eggs to welcome us. Wonderful people.
