The Prawn Hatchery is in Ongoye, KwaZulu-Natal, on a former prawn breeding farm overlooking a lagoon, deserted beach, and nature reserve. It offers a secluded escape for guests looking to unwind away from city life.

The BYO Overlander Camp accommodates up to 16 people across a maximum of 4 vehicles. Guests must bring their own camping and cooking equipment. Shared ablutions with a shower and toilet are located about 100 m away. The site includes a braai area, plug points, and a water tap. Guests should bring their own lights and extension cords. The site may be shared with other guests.

On-site facilities include a communal wood-fired hot tub and outdoor spaces for relaxation.
