Peaceful, ocean breezes, golden sunsets, barefoot walks, pure renewal. What I loved most about staying at the Oyster Bay Sea Haven was the sense of peace. Being away from city noise and daily routines. The beach house gave me space to breathe, reflect and simply be. Though the time spent there was short, I felt both rested and renewed, carrying back the calm rhythm of the ocean in my heart.

Sea views from every room! We loved the space and the views. Also, the proximity to the beach: you just walk down a short path over the dune and you're there. The house has everything you need, right down to a built-in braai and board games for windy/rainy days. Highly recommended!

Great location. The house is located in the perfect spot with superior views, 180 degrees of the sea. It's well furnished and comfortable. It's very well equipped and even has beach equipment. It was neat and tidy when we arrived but not the cleanest. We had to rewash a few dishes and wipe down a lot of surfaces. Perhaps just an oversight from the cleaning crew and can be easily fixed. The host was great with all instructions and restaurant info. The restaurant is amazing, some of the best seafood I've ever had. The road to Oyster Bay is very bad but in SA you have to go through the bad to get to the good. I would recommend this house.

A beautiful, well-located home with potential, but in need of better maintenance. The house is lovely and well-equipped, and the setting is peaceful and relaxing. However, there are a few areas where improvements could enhance the guest experience. Access: Please note that access to the property involves approximately 20km of gravel road (from either way, including Cape Town and Port Elizabeth), which might be important for future guests to be aware of when planning their trip. Accommodation & cleanliness: While the home has been generally cleaned, it appeared that it may not have been cleaned immediately prior to our arrival. The windows were dirty, and there were old food spills, particularly oil, on the bottom kitchen counter. The main bedroom was missing one curtain, preventing full privacy or effective light control. Additionally, black mould was visible on the ceiling in the guest bathroom, which should be addressed promptly for health and hygiene reasons. Storage & personal belongings: Many cupboards throughout the home were filled with the owner's personal items, leaving limited space for guests to store their belongings. This made the stay feel somewhat intrusive, as though we were staying in someone’s private residence rather than a dedicated guest accommodation. Kitchen supplies: Kitchen cupboards were also filled with the owner's food items, including some expired dry goods. Providing a dedicated, clean space for guest use would be appreciated. Including a few basic consumables such as coffee, tea, sugar, and perhaps a guest soap or firewood would go a long way in making guests feel more welcome. Towels & linens: Each guest received only one small, worn towel for the duration of the stay, with no extras or face cloths provided. Offering additional and better-quality towels would greatly improve comfort. While extra blankets were available, they were stuffed into cupboards rather than neatly arranged, making it unclear whether they were intended for guest use. Amenities: The TV connected to Wi-Fi and Netflix worked, but we were unable to access YouTube or other streaming services. It may help to ensure these are functional or provide clear instructions. Property exterior: The staircase leading to the beach was broken and potentially unsafe. This should be repaired or clearly marked as out of use. Identification & wayfinding: There was no visible street name or house number, which made the property difficult to locate and may pose challenges, especially in case of emergency. Clear signage is essential. This property has great potential with a few adjustments. Thank you for the opportunity to stay, and we hope this feedback is helpful for future improvements.
