Palala River Cottages are located close to Vaalwater, right next to the Palala River, offering ideal accommodation for the adventurer, nature enthusiast, and relaxation seeker.

Scattered over the reserve in this wilderness area of outstanding natural beauty, accommodation comprises 4 self-catering units which include River Cottage, Kingfisher Cottage, Podica Bush Camp and Samia Cabin, all uniquely decorated in their own way. The units are completely self-catering - Please note that there is no restaurant on the premises.

Activities on-site include exploring the reserve on foot, by car or bike, bird watching or fishing, there are also a wide range of additional activities that can be booked such as game drives, guided bush walks, visits to Bushman painting and Iron Age sites on the reserve and massage treatments for those looking for more relaxation.

Nearby activities include safari horseback riding, big 5 game drives, safari golf, shopping at African curio art shops, adventurous zip lining and cultural tours - subject to availability.
