Description

Rainbow River Lodge is a tranquil stopover en route to Victoria Falls or the Okavango Delta, offering comfortable accommodation at an affordable price. Whether guests prefer camping along the riverbanks or relaxing in a cosy chalet, the lodge provides a peaceful retreat.

Accommodation includes 2 types of chalets and riverside campsites. The 25 en-suite chalets are divided into Standard and Deluxe options, each accommodating 2 guests. Family Units are also available and can accommodate up to 4 guests. For outdoor enthusiasts, the lodge offers 11 river-facing campsites, each situated on a lawned area shaded by trees. Every site has a private braai area, electrical outlets, and water points. Guests have access to communal ablution facilities with separate men's and women's areas and hot-water showers.

The lodge also features a fully equipped restaurant and a licensed bar, with Wi-Fi access available. A welcoming swimming pool is ideal for cooling off in the summer months.

During their stay, guests can enjoy a self-drive to the nearby Mahango or Buffalo parks or take part in local activities such as sundowner boat cruises to the famous Popa Falls. These cruises offer frequent sightings of hippos, crocodiles, and elephants.

The area is renowned for its birdlife, with over 200 species recorded and approximately 84 species sighted at the lodge itself. For adventurous anglers, the Okavango River offers the thrilling challenge of catching tigerfish. Mahango and Buffalo parks are home to four of the Big Five – African elephants, Cape buffalo, lions, and black rhinos – as well as an abundance of antelopes, giraffes, and baboons.
