Raptor Rise Farm is situated on an olive and cattle farm that also serves as a sanctuary for retired horses, and offers accommodation in units suited to the discerning traveler. This accommodation is located in Tulbagh’s incredible Valley of Abundance, only 120 km from Cape Town and in the heart of the Western Cape Winelands.

Each suite has unique views of the magnificent setting, quality finishes, crisp white linen and so many special touches to delight the heart and extend a warm welcome.

The lovely farm offers a bouquet of self-catering accommodation options suitable for small, intimate getaways and also larger gatherings and celebrations of up to 38 people. Guests can combine the privacy of their own en-suite room with the catering facilities in the Feedroom, The Barn or the Foundry. Conferencing facilities are also available.

Raptor Rise is named after the birds of prey that soar overhead on warm thermals created by the unique combination of the valley’s depths and surrounding mountains. Some of the rooms are named after the smaller bird species found in the valley.

Tulbagh is often home to the Cape Epic, and the farm features marked mountain biking trails suitable for both beginners and experienced riders. The valley also offers a number of hiking trails. Guests can walk, jog, or cycle on the farm and neighbouring properties, but are kindly asked to check with reception beforehand.
