Description
Rawsonville House, a beautiful Cape Dutch farmhouse, dates back to 1920. Situated on the edge of Rawsonville, adjacent to a wine farm with mountain views. We offer warm hospitality in tranquil settings with a swimming pool, a patio under the vines and a beautiful garden. We are perfectly situated for wine tours, with 24 cellars in an hour's radius, some with restaurants.
Accommodation offered comprises of 3 bedrooms with private bathrooms, 2 of them are en-suite. There is also a self-catering unit with a double bed, fully equipped kitchenette and TV. It boasts a separate entrance overlooking the pool and mountains. The guest house facilities include a communal lounge and dining room, a cosy fireplace, tea and coffee-making facilities as well as a microwave oven, toaster and fridge-freezer.
Activities in the area are abundant. There are water sports at the Brandvlei Dam, horse riding, bird watching and walks. Trout fishing can be done at the Holsloot River and there is quad biking in the area. Worcester offers the historical Klein Plasie, a living old farming methods museum. Church Street Cape Dutch architecture, art gallery. Modern regional shopping mall. The Karoo National Botanical Gardens 15 km. The Cape Gliding Club is the only gliding airport in South Africa.
