Nestled in District Uniondale, Renewal Retreat Pincushion Cottage stands as a charming traditional Karoo-style self-catering cottage, high up on the Kammanassie mountains, surrounded by fynbos and offering breathtaking views of the Langkloof valley and the Outeniqua mountains.
The cottage boasts 2 inviting bedrooms, named Ibis and Lark, accommodating up to 4 guests comfortably. The Ibis bedroom features a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower and compost toilet. The Lark bedroom offers a double bed with an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower and compost toilet. Leading out to a verandah, the Lark bedroom provides a serene space for guests to relax and admire the mountain views. Additionally, a comfortable single-sleeper couch in the living area is available for up to 2 children under 12. A flush toilet is available 100m from Pincushion.
The living area features comfortable seating, a dining table, and a well-fitted kitchenette. The kitchenette is equipped with a fridge, microwave, one-plate induction stove, single plate gas stove, toaster, and coffee- and tea-making facilities. Guests can embrace the natural surroundings while utilising a fire pit and a braai. To cool off in the summer months, guests have the option of a natural splash pool or a communal dam. Guests must bring their own swimming towels. Nature enthusiasts can explore a variety of walking trails.
Wi-Fi via a Vodacom LTE router is available. Speed and availability are based on the Vodacom signal. In the event of the Vodacom signal being down (unusual), emergency Wi-Fi is available at the main farmhouse, 200m from the Cottage in the sun lounge.
Best location directions are via the Google Maps search: Renewal Retreat Kammanassie. This will bring you directly to the gate. The access code will be provided closer to the arrival date.
The main retreat dining room offers barista coffee.
