Description

River Chalets offers affordable accommodation for fishermen and families. It is conveniently located directly on the B1 in the village of Mariental.

Accommodation is provided in self-catering chalets, tented camps, and a guest room. The self-catering chalets can accommodate 3 to 4 guests, with a queen-size bed or a king-size bed that can be converted into 2 single beds. The chalets feature en-suite bathrooms fitted with a shower, toilet, and washbasin.

The Tented Camp is a permatent furnished with 2 single beds. The tent features air-conditioning, bedding, towels, Wi-Fi, a kettle, tea, coffee, cups, glasses, knives, forks, plates, and braai facilities. There is a small lawn, a picnic table, and a basin in front of the tent. The tent does not have its own bathroom, but guests can make use of the camping terrain's ablution facilities, which are fitted with a toilet, shower, and washbasin.

Guest Room 4A comes furnished with a king-size bed and features an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet, and washbasin. Other in-room facilities include a TV, DStv, Wi-Fi, a bar fridge, kettle, and air-conditioning. The room also features braai facilities.

There are lovely braai facilities for guests' use, as well as a communal swimming pool where guests can cool off after a long day of exploring. Guests are also provided with secure parking on the premises, which is surrounded by electric fencing, has CCTV cameras, and is patrolled by guards at night. There is a restaurant and roadside stall on site. At the roadside stall, guests can buy ice cream, wood, drinks, gifts, and more. The restaurant prepares delicious steaks, pizzas, burgers, and numerous other dishes, including ice-cold Namibian draft beer.

Other attractions on the property include a playground and a mini zoo with a camel, warthog, springbok, ostriches, and various farm animals. A swimming pool and a Jacuzzi (the latter available for an extra fee and only with a prior reservation) are also available.
