Relaxing. Absolutely stunning! Johan was amazing at answering any questions and was very welcoming. We will definitely be back.

Fantastic spot. Absolutely wonderful ladies' weekend away. Only complaint is that we did not stay long enough. Such a great location with beautiful views. Pont de Val is literally down the road, which is also an awesome venue. The host is really fantastic and willing to assist with anything. So grateful we found this spot, and we will all definitely return with kids and hubbies. .

Amazing stay, hope to return soon! Spacious, neat house in an estate next to the river and has a view of the river. Nice to walk in the estate and see wildlife and birds. The host is very welcoming and went out of his way to ensure we had a comfortable stay. We hope to return again soon!

Fantastic! We had an absolutely amazing weekend away with our family at River Lodge 14. Johan was such a star, so responsive and so helpful. Check-in was easy and the house is a lot bigger than anticipated with plenty of sleeping space and chill areas. The river is a short walk from the unit itself with the jungle gym right behind the house, so it's easy to keep an eye on the kids at both ends. The house was clean. We had plenty of animal visitors including buck and zebra and even some kittens. The family caught lots of fish, mainly carp but good sizes, so the kids were super excited and enjoyed the fishing! The games room included with the house boasts a table tennis board, pool table and darts. We partied in there at night and it was great! Thank you, Johan, for a great weekend away; we will definitely be back!

Perfect for our stopover en route to Nelspruit from Cape Town. Perfect stopover, pity we didn't have time to stay longer.

Salige rus en vrede. Rustige vakansie gehou in 'n pragtige, goed versorgde estate. Skoon swembad en tennisbaan. Die woning was netjies met verskeie ekstras en 'n mooi rivieruitsig. As ons 'n aanbeveling kan maak: dalk net die gasbraai op die stoep herstel (vir reënerige dae) en beter beligting in die kombuis. Bokke wat rustig kom wei tussen die woonstelle bewys net hoe veilig en rustig River Lodge Estate is. Die hengel was baie produktief met talle visse gevang. Johan was 'n bedagsame gasheer.

Home away from home. Johan was great, very responsive and helpful. The house was home away from home, even though it was 1 night and we didn't use the full house, it served its purpose for our stay. Location-wise worked out for us as it was next to Pont De Vaal, where we attended an event, however, there are no shops close by, so plan in advance and pack food etc. before arriving.
