Description
Riverbend on Komati is a beautifully appointed home perched on a hill, offering 360-degree views of the Komati River and the northern Drakensberg mountains. Nestled in the heart of the Komati Gorge Wildlife & Fly-fishing Reserve, this property provides comfortable self-catering accommodation and is ideal for families and friends.
The house can accommodate up to 8 guests and comprises 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. In the main house, the primary bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed and has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath, shower, washbasin, and toilet. The second bedroom also contains a queen-size bed, while the third bedroom has 2 single beds. These two rooms share a bathroom with a bath, shower, washbasin, and toilet.
The fourth bedroom is slightly separate from the main house. This self-contained unit features a fireplace, a queen-size bed, and its own en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath, shower, washbasin, and toilet. Quality linen and bath towels are provided.
The open-plan living areas include a modern kitchen equipped with a fridge-freezer, gas stove, electric oven, microwave, air fryer, cutlery and crockery, tea- and coffee-making facilities, and a breakfast bar with stools. A dishwasher is also available for added convenience. Adjacent to the kitchen is a dining area with a 10-seater dining table. The lounge offers ample comfortable seating, a built-in fireplace, and complimentary Wi-Fi.
The covered patio is furnished with comfortable outdoor furniture and offers breathtaking views, perfect for enjoying your morning coffee. The property is a short walk or drive from Komati Gorge Lodge, where guests have access to facilities such as a fully licensed restaurant, a pub, and a swimming pool.
Guests can also enjoy a variety of activities on the reserve, including fly-fishing and river fishing, with two species of Yellowfish found in the waters.
