Description
Rooikraal Guest House is located on Rooikraal farm in Prince Alfred Hamlet, 10 km from Ceres and 2 km from the village of Prince Alfred's Hamlet. It is centrally located and welcomes Tanqua Trek and Cape Epic cyclists, making this home the ideal base of operations. It is also near numerous wedding venues such as Elim and Kaleo.
The house comprises 3 bedrooms and can accommodate up to 10 guests at a time. The main bedroom has a double bed and the second bedroom has 2 single beds. The third bedroom has a double bed as well as a king-size bed. There is also a double sleeper couch in the living room.
The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and includes a full stove with oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, kettle, Nescafe coffee machine, cutlery, crockery as well as a dishwasher. Please note guests are required to bring their own coffee pods, as none are supplied.
In the living area, there is a cosy fireplace for cold days. A crate of braai wood is provided.
There is a beautiful outdoor patio with a table and chairs where guests can enjoy the views of the orchards and mountain while eating or drinking.
The house is situated between pear orchards and cattle camps on an active working farm with a beautiful view of the Scrub and Sailor Mountains. There is a huge, 16-hectare pond just 500 m away and provides the perfect opportunity for water skiing, fishing, canoeing and extracurricular activities. The house is completely surrounded by a fence, making it safe for the whole family.
