A truly unique experience! What a truly unique experience! Ramshed Farm Stay is set in the stunning Karoo landscape. Waking up to the sunrise streaming through the wide open windows, surrounded by complete silence, was unforgettable. The quality bedding and fresh, crisp towels made the stay even more comfortable. On arrival, we were welcomed with freshly baked bread — such a thoughtful touch!

A wonderful stay in every way. Our recent stay at the Ramshed was a great pleasure. From the streamlined booking and ongoing communication to the cottage itself, everything was wonderful. The kitchen is well equipped, the bed very comfortable, the lounge area inviting and comfortable, and everywhere there are thoughtful touches that make being there even better. The setting was great too - very close to Middelburg, where one can do some grocery shopping, and not too far from Graaff-Reinet and Nieu Bethesda for day trips. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet, just the sound of birdsong and the occasional wind through the trees. The area surrounding the cottage is lovely for walks, and the scenery is so beautiful. It was too cold to try out the pool, but in summer it would most likely be amazing. Our host was particularly special - welcoming, warm and friendly, and always available to help (such as helping us to unpack our car in the rain, supplying extra firewood, and even at 7 one evening when, despite not being on the farm herself, she ensured that the gas for the stove was replenished within half an hour!).

Highly recommended farmstay. We stayed at The Ramshed and were blown away. Most beautiful cottage on a farm in the Karoo. Extremely private and secluded. The gravel road is not that far and easy to navigate with a car. This place is pristine. Outstanding quality amenities in the bathroom. Modern equipment in the kitchen. 5-star hotel grade linen and towels. Most comfortable bed. The interior is next level and beautifully executed. A big lawn in front of the cottage. Fireplace outside and inside. This is a cozy cottage. Highly recommended. Outstanding communication with the host.
