Description

Sanfern Downs Cottage is situated on Phoenix Farm among pine plantations, rolling lawns and gardens in the beautiful Magoebaskloof area in the Wolkberg Mountains.

The open-plan cottage offers self-catering accommodation, and comprises a double bed, a fully equipped kitchenette, a bathroom with a shower, and a lounge area. The kitchenette is equipped with a fridge, a mini oven and stove, and a kettle and toaster.

Braai facilities are also available for those lovely summer evenings. Guests also have access to covered parking.

The cottage is situated just 900 m from the popular Pot n Plow restaurant and pub, and 9 km from the quaint Haenertsburg village with shops, restaurants, and a pub or 2. There is also the Phoenix Farm Meander that takes you around the farm and you can enjoy the pine plantations and the vlei along the Helpmekaar river. There are a variety of tourist attractions for visitors in the area, such as Thomac Essential Oil Tours to learn how essential oils are distilled, Wegraakbosch Dairy selling cheeses, Magoesbaskloof Canopy Tours, hiking and mountain biking trails among waterfalls and beautiful views. Sanfern Downs also has a factory shop with natural healing products for sale; the healing products are made on the farm.
