Welcome to Saxon Lodge – A Place to Unwind and Breathe. Tucked into the heart of Gansbaai, overlooking the harbor and the ever changing waters of Walker Bay, Saxon Lodge is more than just a place to stay it’s a destination to arrive, exhale, and truly settle in.

We offer a variety of units to choose from, each furnished with comfortable beds and an en-suite bathroom, which is either fitted with a shower, bath, or toilet only.

Just a scenic two-hour drive from Cape Town and 40 minutes from Hermanus, we offer a peaceful retreat.

Four of our suites open onto private verandas with sweeping ocean views—perfect for sunrise and sunset reflections or quiet moments with a cup of coffee. Our non-sea-facing suites have easy access to the garden, deck, and pool, where sunsets paint the sky in hues of gold and crimson.

Wish I could stay longer. It was more than I expected. The room had a lounge as well to my surprise. I stayed in the sanctuary room.
