Disappointing house. The owner and property manager were very responsive and replied to text messages promptly. The first thing I noticed was a weird smell in the house (like it was stuffy, damp). I opened all the doors and windows to air the house, but the smell lingered. The night I wanted to take a shower, there was no hot water in the master en suite bathroom. I found out the next day that the other bathrooms had separate hot water heaters and had hot water. There were no cloths to wash dishes with or to wipe counters/dinner table, which I felt was odd. The power went out for 2 hours one night, and there were no candles or electric lanterns. Only 2 paraffin lanterns, but nothing to light them with, so I was literally stuck in the dark. The linens on the bed and towels all looked pretty worn. The furniture looked and felt a bit tired as well. There really is nothing provided for the guests in terms of some tea bags, coffee, or sugar. You literally have to bring everything with you if you stay in this house, including wash cloths, a broom to sweep, and most other basics. Luckily, I was only staying for 2 nights, so I could get by. The location is fantastic, with an easy 4-5 minute walk over the dunes to the beach. WiFi was good.
