Somabula Natuurreservaat Shibala is located on a game farm between Rayton and Cullinan, less than an hour’s drive from Pretoria and Johannesburg. It can accommodate 4 guests seeking a tranquil escape.

The chalet features 2 bedrooms and a bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet, and basin. The main bedroom, located upstairs, is furnished with a double bed, while the second bedroom contains 2 single beds.

The outdoor kitchenette is equipped with a 2-plate gas stove and a basin. Comfortable seating is provided, and there is a braai available in the garden. The accommodation is fitted with solar lights, a gas geyser, and a stove. The distance between units ensures a fair amount of privacy for guests. Eskom power and cellphone charging points are not available.

Here, guests will encounter a wide variety of wildlife, including giraffes, eland, blue wildebeest, nyala, zebras, red hartebeest, blesbok, and more, all roaming freely throughout the area. During their bush-style getaway, guests will be greeted by birdsong and the early calls of jackals as dusk falls.

Hiking, 4x4, and mountain biking trails are available. Guests are welcome to bring fishing gear, binoculars, hiking boots, bicycles, cameras, bird guides, a braai grid, and firelighters. This is truly a getaway spot where guests can relax, connect, spend quality time together, and enjoy nature.
