Well worth the price. We will definitely return. Very big house in a beautiful setting. Water pressure was excellent. Very well equipped. A couple of taps (kitchen and scullery) need handles to be repaired. Dirt road would be a bit of a challenge for a small car.

Overall, a lovely stay. We experienced challenges with the jacuzzi and the bottom room's showerhead, as well as the hiking trail markings. This was communicated with the contact, and we received feedback that our concerns were noted and that Spekboom was one of the houses to be upgraded. So, besides our issues, we enjoyed our time there. Would love to return in the near future.

Relaxing, Beautiful views, private. We had a wonderful stay. The rooms were a good combination of old and modern decor, and quite spacious. The views were beautiful — one over the valley and the other over the mountains. We had a visit one morning from two klipspringers who came to admire the scenery with us. The open-plan layout worked very well, and the separate scullery and ample fridges were a hit. The communication and WhatsApp messages from the website as well as Wolfkop were very helpful. The oranges, coffee beans, sugar, tea and creamer were a very pleasant surprise. The swimming pool and hot tub provided nice options. When I arrived at 2:20 PM, the cleaners were still packing up, so they were about 25 minutes over their time. So I wouldn't have been able to check in at 2:00 PM anyway. The indoor braai is a winner when the weather doesn’t cooperate, but it does make the rooms smell a bit smoky — a suggestion is to leave the windows open to help the smell dissipate. There are a few taps that need new handles, and a broom would also come in handy in the house. I asked to check out a little later because I had to drive to Vredendal and my wife was in Cape Town.
