The house itself is very neat and comfortable but could do with some updating of the bedding and minor maintenance. Some pillowcases were stained, there was a hole in the ceiling of the main bedroom, and the windows didn't shut properly. The oven was not working when we arrived and we had planned to use it that evening. Luckily, we were able to improvise. One extremely odd thing was that we were instructed to bring our own toilet paper, dishwashing materials, and refuse bags. There was no salt or pepper either. This is the first time I've rented a home where those basic essentials were not included. The host does not own the home (only manages it) and was very slow to respond to messages when I made inquiries. Overall, our stay was great, even with the few small snags.
