Restful. Beautiful old homestead. Magnificent garden. Everything we needed was there.

Spacious, clean, comfortable, beautiful gardens. We had a few problems with WiFi and TV, but the owner replied promptly and sent the relevant info and technician.

Serene, peaceful, off the grid. The yard was shockingly large! This was a wonderful surprise as we were attracted to Suurbraak Schuur due to the garden for the dogs. The large fireplace outside was our favourite spot. I wish the photos had been updated with the latest images; the yard and surroundings look even better than the old photos in the ad. The cafe/shop is directly across the road for any necessities you need. The mountain paths were maybe 100m around the corner, which was amazing. We were able to take our dogs walking off leash in the surrounding mountains and rivers, and that was the best part of the stay. The beauty in the surrounds with running rivers and waterfalls is second to none. Peaceful and low foot traffic means you have the place to yourself. I would just recommend that you take Tabard with you as the mozzies are out in full force all day long, which made the garden relatively unused by anybody except the dogs.
