Tarentaalrand Safari Chalet 1 is located in a private nature reserve in Kimberley, Free State, home to 26 animal species, including 2 of the Big Five, namely Buffaloes and Lions.

The double-storey chalet can accommodate up to 6 people. It has 2 bedrooms that share a bathroom fitted with a shower. The room on the top floor is furnished with 4 single beds, while the room on the ground floor has a king-size bed. Bedding and bath towels are provided, but guests need to bring their own swimming towels. The kitchen is equipped with a 2-plate stove, microwave, fridge, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. The chalet opens onto a patio with a private braai area. Parking is secure but not directly at the chalet.

Parts of the chalet are accessed via stairs and may not be suitable for toddlers, the elderly, or guests with disabilities. Guests can use the communal lounge, which has a TV with DStv. There is also a communal swimming pool on the premises. The site offers game and bird-watching opportunities.
