Very average and expensive. Very spacious and conveniently situated. The accommodation was lacking in several areas. There was a coffee plunger but no ground coffee? Ouma rusks in what is meant to be an upmarket place? No. DSTV. Terribly overpriced for what you get. I would not book this accommodation again and would not recommend it to friends.

Thanks for the review and sorry to hear you were not satisfied with our house. Though the house is creatively curated, it does not pretend to be "upscale" or luxury, compared to other options in and around Franschhoek. It is set up to feel like a quaint home away from home, with some boutique elements. We do provide many essentials including tea, instant coffee, Ouma rusks (traditionally found in many Franschhoek accommodations) and a large array of kitchen utensils, but Deck and Hull is a self-catering accomodation and advertized as such. The nightly rate you paid is relatively low and for Franschhoek, especially considering that it is a spacious house which sleeps 4 adults.
